  • The history of freedom struggle is filled with stories from many national leaders. In it, the name of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is written in the golden letter as ‘sculptor of independent India’.

  • Sardar Patel was born on October 31, 1875, in his Mossel Nadiad. His father’s name was Zaverbhai and his mother’s name was Ladabai. Vallabhbhai belonged to a family of farmers. 

  • Zaverbhai Swaminarayan practiced religion. He had a deep countryman. Vallabhbhai also had these qualities of the father. 



  • Vallabhbhai studied in Karamsad and petted. He was fearless since childhood. From the time he was a student, he didn't share any injustice. He passed the ‘District Pleader’ exam and started advocating in Godhra, Borsad and Anand. 

  • With his wit and intelligence, he became one of the most famous lawyers in the world. He then went to the ballet to study the barrister. There, after walking 11 miles a day to the library and reading for 17 – 17 hours, he came first in the barrister exam and received a prize of 50 pounds.

  • After being barrister, Vallabhbhai Patel returned to India. It was at this time that Gandhi arrived in India from South Africa. He came in contact with Gandhiji in 1917. Inspired by Gandhiji’s principles and concepts, Vallabhbhai joined him within the freedom struggle. 

  • In the beginning, Patel Vallabhbhai used to mock Gandhiji. He used to call Gandhiji a ‘post-Adidas’. But soon he was convinced that Gandhi had the facility to seat the people of India. He surrendered to Gandhiji. He adopted the indigenous dress and Indian residency.

  • He became active in the fight for independence. He led the Bardoli satyagraha and made the British Government bow down. They have since become known under the nickname ‘Sardar’. He was the president of the municipality of Ahmedabad when he worked hard to enhance the well-being of the people of the city and to enhance the beauty of the city. 

  • He was also the president of the congress session. He was also jailed when he was arrested in Dandikuch, where he used to recite ‘Bhagavadgita’ and ‘Ramayana’ in prison.

  • Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was the Mayor of Ahmadabad. He was an able administrator. He was referred to as the Iron Man of India. He was the first Deputy Prime Minister and the Home Minister of Independent India. He played a very important role in the merger of the princely states into the Indian Union.

  • The Nawab of Junagadh had to flee to Pakistan because of the People's rebellion. If the      Kashmir question had allowed Sardar to figure his way, the history of Kashmir would are different today.

  • Seeing the plight of the Somnath Temple, a symbol of Indian culture, he resolved to restore it. He rejected the concept. Today, the huge and grand temple of Somnath is increasing the pride of Gujarat. In his courtyard is placed a magnificent copy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. 



  • Vallabhbhai was tolerant. His armpit was lost, he had burning rope over it to get rid of it. His self-esteem was also unprecedented. Court proceedings were underway when the tragic news of his wife’s death was received. Vallabhbhai Kept the Wire in his pocket and was getting to court!

  • He is the biggest height of the world is the world's tallest statue. Narendra Modi first announced the project to commemorate Vallabhbhai Patel on 7 October 2013 at a press conference to mark the beginning  his 10th year as The Chief Minister of Gujarat. At the time, the project was dubbed. 

  • Three models of the planning measuring 3 feet, 18 feet, and 30 feet were initially created. The total height of the structure is 240 meters, with a base of 58 meters and a statue of  Unity 182 meters. Unity of Statue designer name is Ram Suthar. He is Indian. we are proud of the company of Larsen and Toubro. It is amazing to work on a statue of unity.
  • Indian structure company Larsen and Toubro the the contract is lowest price of 2989 crore for the planning, construction, and maintenance. That contract is 27 October 2014. In the project the main statue is 1347 crore, exhibition hall and convention center is 235 crore, a bridge connecting mainland is 83 crore, and maintenance of the structure for 15 years after completion is 657 crore.
